How customer saved cards and card requests work

Modified on Tue, 16 Jun at 8:19 PM

INTENDED SEARCHES: customer card, saved card, request card, autopay card, payment method

Customer saved card records store payment method details used for future payments or autopay when payment processing is enabled.

Fields/options you may see:

- Customer.

- Payment method reference.

- Card brand.

- Last four digits.

- Expiration month.

- Expiration year.

- Billing name.

- Billing ZIP code.

- Default card status.

Important rule:

TabulateCRM should not expose full card numbers. Only safe payment references and partial card details should be visible.

Why this matters:

Saved cards can speed up payment collection, deposits, autopay, and recurring billing. Wrong default cards can cause failed charges or customer complaints.

Support note:

If the user cannot find the option, sees different fields, cannot save, or receives an error, contact support with the record name, page, action attempted, error message, and screenshot if possible.
