How comments, history, and activity logs work

INTENDED SEARCHES: comments, activity log, history log, audit trail

Comments, history, and activity logs help show what happened on a record.

Information may include:

- User.

- Action.

- Date and time.

- Page or record.

- Activity description.

- IP address or device information in admin logs.

- Undo information if supported.

Why this matters:

Activity logs help answer questions like who changed something, when it changed, and what page was used. Do not use activity logs as a replacement for clear notes on the record.

Support note:

If the user cannot find the option, sees different fields, cannot save, or receives an error, contact support with the record name, page, action attempted, error message, and screenshot if possible.
