INTENDED SEARCHES: automation, automated workflow, sequence, trigger, automatic email
Use automations to help the company perform repeatable actions or send scheduled communication when the correct conditions are met.
Common automation parts:
- Automation name.
- Active or inactive status.
- Trigger or starting condition.
- Sequence steps.
- Related module, such as estimates, payments, vendors, services, teams, projects, or employees when available.
- Response or activity log.
How to use it:
1. Open the Automations area.
2. Create or edit an automation.
3. Choose the trigger or condition.
4. Add the sequence steps.
5. Review any selected statuses, payment types, vendors, service categories, employees, teams, projects, or tags.
6. Save the automation.
7. Turn it on only after testing.
Why this matters:
Automations can save office time, but bad rules can send the wrong message, affect the wrong record, or confuse customers. Test every automation before relying on it.
Support note:
If the customer cannot see the option, cannot save the record, sees different fields, or receives an error, they should contact support with the module, record name or number, what they clicked, what happened, and a screenshot if possible.
