How deleted, inactive, and restored records work in more modules

INTENDED SEARCHES: deleted record, inactive, restore, trashed, bulk restore

Some modules may support active, inactive, deleted, trashed, restore, bulk activate, or bulk deactivate actions.

Examples may include:

- Services.

- Products.

- Packages.

- Vendors.

- Equipment.

- Employees.

- Bookmarks.

- Documents.

Important:

Deleting or deactivating a record can affect whether it appears in lists, searches, estimates, scheduling, purchasing, or reports.

Why this matters:

Do not delete records just to clean up a list. In many cases, inactive is safer than delete because it preserves history.

Support note:

If the customer cannot see the option, cannot save the record, sees different fields, or receives an error, they should contact support with the module, record name or number, what they clicked, what happened, and a screenshot if possible.
