How customer order items work

INTENDED SEARCHES: order item, customer order item, cart item, portal item

Customer order items are the individual products, services, packages, or items included inside a customer order.

Review order items carefully because the total order depends on the line item details.

Information you may see:

- Product, service, package, or custom item.

- Quantity.

- Unit price.

- Total.

- Tax, if applicable.

- Notes or options.

Basic process:

1. Open the customer order.

2. Review each order item.

3. Confirm quantity and price.

4. Check whether the item should become a job, invoice, or fulfillment task.

5. Contact the customer if the order is unclear.

Before saving or relying on this record, check:

- Item name.

- Quantity.

- Pricing.

- Tax.

- Next action.

Why this matters:

Order items prevent the office from treating the whole order as one vague request.

Support note:

If the customer cannot find the option, cannot save the record, sees different fields, or receives an error, they should contact support with the record name, page they were on, what they clicked, and a screenshot if possible.
