How phonebook records work

Modified on Tue, 16 Jun at 8:16 PM

INTENDED SEARCHES: phonebook, contact list, business contacts

Phonebook records store general contact information that may not belong directly inside one customer, employee, or vendor record.

Use phonebook records for useful business contacts that need to be found quickly.

Fields/options may include:

- Name.

- Email.

- Phone number.

- Category.

- Notes.

Why this matters:

The phonebook is for contact lookup. It should not replace customer contacts, vendor contacts, employee emergency contacts, or job notes when those records have a proper place in the system.

Support note:

If the user cannot find the option, sees different fields, cannot save, or receives an error, contact support with the record name, page, action attempted, error message, and screenshot if possible.
