INTENDED SEARCHES: estimate deposit, deposit amount, deposit percentage, deposit required

Deposits are used when the customer must pay part of the amount before or during the work.

Deposit fields you may see:

- Deposit enabled.

- Deposit type.

- Deposit percentage.

- Deposit amount.

- Deposit total.

- Remaining balance.

Common deposit types:

- Percentage deposit.

- Fixed amount deposit.

Steps:

1. Open the estimate.

2. Add or edit the line item or package that requires a deposit.

3. Enable deposit if required.

4. Choose the deposit type.

5. Enter the deposit percentage or amount.

6. Review the deposit total.

7. Review the remaining balance.

8. Save or send the estimate only after checking the totals.

Why this matters:

Deposits affect what the customer owes now and what remains to be billed later. Wrong deposit setup can create billing mistakes and customer confusion.

Support note:

If you cannot find the option, cannot save the record, see different fields, or receive an error, contact support with the page, record name or number, what you clicked, what happened, and a screenshot if possible.
