INTENDED SEARCHES: payment type, transaction method, cash, check, credit card, ACH
Payment types and transaction methods define how money is paid or received.
Common examples may include:
- Cash.
- Check.
- Credit card.
- ACH.
- Bank transfer.
- Other company-approved methods.
Use the correct method when recording payments, refunds, expenses, deposits, or vendor payments.
Why this matters:
Payment methods affect reporting, reconciliation, bank matching, customer payment history, and owner review. Do not create duplicate versions like “Credit Card,” “card,” and “CC” unless the company intentionally wants them separate.
Support note:
If the user cannot find the option, sees different fields, cannot save, or receives an error, contact support with the record name, page, action attempted, error message, and screenshot if possible.
