How zip codes and service areas work

Use zip codes and service areas to organize where the company works.

They may affect:

- Customer setup.

- Website service areas.

- Scheduling.

- Route planning.

- Reporting.

- Lead qualification.

Steps:

1. Open Zip Codes or Service Areas.

2. Add or update the area information.

3. Confirm spelling, city, state, and zip code.

4. Save the record.

5. Review any website or scheduling impact if the area is public-facing or used in routing.

Why this matters:

Wrong service area data can create bad leads, wrong routing, and customer confusion.
