Payroll leave policies help define how vacation, sick time, PTO, or other leave types are tracked.

Information you may see:

- Leave type.

- Employee eligibility.

- Available balance or credit.

- Used balance.

- Accrual or manual entry rules, if enabled.

- Approval status.

Basic process:

1. Open payroll or employee leave settings.

2. Review the leave policy and employee balance.

3. Confirm whether the leave request has been approved.

4. Update balances only if your role allows it.

5. Review before payroll is processed.

Before saving or relying on this record, check:

- Correct employee.

- Correct leave type.

- Correct date range.

- Approved status.

- Balance after request.

Why this matters:

Leave policy data affects payroll, employee records, and schedule planning.

Support note:

If the customer cannot find the option, cannot save the record, sees different fields, or receives an error, they should contact support with the record name, page they were on, what they clicked, and a screenshot if possible.
